In my experience with children of all ages, they really like animals; in particular aquatic animals. so I did a little bit of research and I believe that the Manta Ray would be perfect to represent a restaurant. It is a dangerous and rare animal as well as a majestic and appealing animal to young children. For these reasons families and young professionals would be attracted this idea of relating to the theme itself and feel at home. The colours depend on who we wish to attract. I believe that we can either stick to a red, grey, and black colour scheme to portray strength and organisation, or we can go towards the more childish colours of blue, green and black to represent the ocean and the habitat where the Manta Ray lives. For typeface, I was thinking of sticking with a sans-serif font to portray the simplicity of the restaurant and the elegance that it has. The pattern would capture the habitat of the animal representing waves of the ocean such as spirals or dotted waves. This can allow the restaurant to be more kid friendly and open up the design possibilities as well.
When designing the restaurant from scratch, I also designed the menu’s, table cards, and coasters for the restaurant. This restaurant also has its own Organic Pomegranate Juice mad in house.
